Fine, crisp, copy 56 of 230. Quarter cloth over decorative gold patterned paper boards, paper title label and leather gilt stamped spine label, untrimmed edges, printed in colors. From the colophon: "The design on the front cover is adapted from that of the earliest known (1509) wallpaper, a fragment of which was discovered at Christ's College, Cambridge, England." Test is verse composed by Henry Morris after Chaucer's Canterbury Tales , a " Biblio-Typographic Pilgrimage." A wonderful tribute to the modern press-man. A fine copy, no flaws.
